  • Base is plywood, base coated in a yellow

  • Two-tone wet blend wood grain paint technique

  • Added painted on knots after

  • Coated in a French Enamel Varnish and sealed with a Polyacrylic

  • Base coat, wood grain, wash and then FEV over the top.

  • Layer of Epoxy Resin over the top of the finished carve

  • Painted with a sandable Primer

  • Coated in a paper mache tissue layer for texture

  • Painted over top with blue and green spray paints

  • Coated in a glue and sawdust mixture for more texture 

  • Given a final spray paint and seal

  • Paint job based off of the idea the sculpture was underwater for a long period of time

  • Painting on fabric mache

  • Painted sides with greys and browns, small moss detail with greens here and there. 

  • Drew a hard edge in sharpie, painting the bark color on the exterior. Then painted thin rings radiating out from center. 

  • Covered with a greyed wash to age.

  • Sealed with a polyeurethane

  • Coated in JC/glue/water mixture, several coats

  • Painted with black

  • Added in glue and tissue paper mache in reds and greens, and painted over, allowing flaking and cracking of paint

  • Sanded on edge to bring out brown color here and there

  • Seat base coated with "pumpkin orange" 

  • Tri-color wet blended (highlight, lowlight, shadow)

  • Sealed over top with an antique tinted shellac
